We call ourselves Buddha.Software because we appreciate the teachings and principles of this spiritual master. Every Buddha or "Enlightened One" is a person whose essence and presence serve as a model for humanity, and who has recognized and can experience the principles of true existence. In this sense, other spiritual individuals have also been and are Buddhas if they can reach the consciousness level of awakening. We are not speaking so much of belief here, but of the realization of the mystery. Will any of us ever awaken...? Few are granted the opportunity to conclude life as a Buddha; nonetheless, we strive to be as principled as possible and do our best on our path, which, like that of every person, is individual and unique. The more we trust ourselves and the less we listen to dogmas and pre-fabricated truths, the less we will suffer and cause suffering. We believe this is a good intention for all aspects of life.
Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, was a spiritual teacher from ancient India and the founder of Buddhism. He was born in the 6th or 5th century B.C. into a wealthy royal family in present-day Nepal. Despite his luxurious lifestyle, Siddhartha was deeply moved by the suffering of the world and decided to leave his royal life behind to seek enlightenment and the end of suffering.
After years of strict asceticism and meditation, Siddhartha Gautama finally attained full spiritual enlightenment and became known as Buddha, which means "the Enlightened one" or perhaps better "the Awakened" in Sanskrit.
His teachings, known as Dharma, focus on understanding the nature of suffering and the path to overcoming it.
Buddha's teachings have since spread across Asia and the world, giving rise to a variety of practices, philosophies, and interpretations that are united under the umbrella of Buddhism, although there is also a movement known as secular Buddhism.
Despite the diverse expressions of Buddhism, the central teaching of Buddha, the Four Noble Truths, and the Noble Eightfold Path, represent ethical and moral principles that we aspire to live by, even in our professional daily lives...
1. Life is suffering.
2. Desire is the cause of suffering.
3. Suffering can be ended.
4. The noble, eightfold path leads to the end of suffering.
